spring has come in Abrantes
Nice weather, enthusiasm and dedication to softball are the ingredients for the newest experience with Portugal Softball.
From Saturday 18 to Monday 20th – will be working with Portoguese coaches at 1st level international instruction clinic run by Jim Jones and ISG. Thanks to all new friends from Portugal for their efforts and participation !

Higher Ground Camps Summer 2012
If you want to combine a week of softball and a great experience in the U.S.A. for your young players , I am particularly pleased to recommend Higher Ground SELECT CAMP for Elite Skills designed and run by our good friend Bobby Simpson from Tifton Georgia.
The camp will be held June 17-22 in Columbus, Georgia , it will host players from over all over the U.S. and foreign countries and feature some of the best college coaches and instructors of the country.
It is particularly designed for skilled players aged 15 – 19 and it is also a suitable opportunity for coaches to come and watch first hand high quality instruction, maybe offering to cooperate as monitors and providing support to the organization.

The will to prepare to win

Players often overemphasize exposure and underemphasize preparation. The three components of success are instruction, game experience, and exposure. Unless one prepares well, the exposure is wasted. Relevant to being recruited, it is basically a negative use of time to expose weak skills. Learn skills, learn to apply them in games, and then get exposure. Be Prepared.
I thought of people who say that players need a will to win. Actually, more important is the will to prepare to win. Be Prepared!
